Aryan Ambasthaनई दिल्ली, Trump’s H-1B Visa News: अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति Donald Trump ने शुक्रवार को एक बड़ा कदम उठाते हुए H-1B Visa Fees को $1,000 से बढ़ाकर $100,000 कर दिया है। यह बदलाव 9,900% की वृद्धि दर्शाता है और इसका सीधा असर भारत की शीर्ष IT कंपनियों पर पड़ने वाला है। अनुमान है कि इस नए शुल्क से भारत की पाँच बड़ी IT कंपनियों – TCS, Infosys, HCLTech, Cognizant और LTIMindtree – के FY25 में हुए कुल profits का लगभग 10% हिस्सा केवल visa fees में खर्च हो जाएगा।

अमेरिका की USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services) की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, सिर्फ 2025 में ही भारतीय कंपनियों ने 13,396 H-1B visas sponsor किए। इनमें अकेले Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) ने 5,364 visas sponsor किए, जबकि Cognizant ने 2,493, Infosys ने 2,004, LTI Mindtree ने 1,807 और HCL Technologies ने 1,728 visas हासिल किए।
Trump’s H-1B Visa: अभी तक, एक foreign worker पर employer को लगभग $780 और worker को $215 का आवेदन शुल्क देना होता था। लेकिन Trump के नए order के बाद अब प्रत्येक worker पर $100,000 का annual खर्च आएगा। यानी पहले जो फीस $13.4 million के करीब थी, वह अब बढ़कर $1.34 billion हो जाएगी।

Profit पर बड़ा वार
इन पाँच IT दिग्गजों ने FY25 में कुल $13.7 billion का net profit दर्ज किया था। नए visa rules के अनुसार, अब $1.34 billion fees देनी होगी, जो सीधे-सीधे उनके profits का करीब 10% हिस्सा है।

Dependency हुई कम लेकिन खतरा बड़ा
Trump’s H-1B Visa: हालांकि IT analysts का मानना है कि Indian IT companies की dependency पहले की तुलना में काफी कम हो चुकी है। Abhishek Kumar, JM Financial के अनुसार, “अब American companies जैसे Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Apple और Google H-1B visas के सबसे बड़े sponsor हैं। लेकिन Indian कंपनियों के लिए ये नया खर्च margins पर गहरा दबाव डाल सकता है।”
Trump’s H-1B Visa: विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि short-term में यह नियम कंपनियों के लिए बड़ा financial burden बनेगा। Long-term में वे या तो local hiring बढ़ाएँगी या offshoring और outsourcing पर ज्यादा जोर देंगी।
